I hardly ever post about contest opportunities but I thought I might let you know about this one. Basically, you get the chance to win one of six holidays to Barcelona, the Canary Islands, Egypt, Majorca, Mexico or Las Vegas. Personally, only two places that really interest me is Egypt and Barcelona, all the others are a bit too touristy for my taste.I have actually been dreaming about Egypt lately. So much so that I have even been looking for cheap flights from here in Sweden to Cairo for a long weekend. Last year, EasyJet had a sale on flights from Geneva to Sharm El Sheik for just 45 euros. Unfortunately, that deal seems to have expired. I was really looking forward to checking out the latest Protests in Tahrir Square (more of a circle than a square but hey).
Barcelona would be awesome too. I have only ever been there once and just for a few days but I remember it being a great sea side city. Lots of cool architecture, history, and from what I’ve heard, some of the best night life scenes in the world.Admittedly, I am a bit of a gambler. I never pass up an opportunity to throw down a dollar for a mega millions ticket when I’m back home. One dollar buys me a whole lot of dreams and so for me it’s worth it. And so, when it comes to these travel contests I always end up entering. As they say, you can’t win it unless you’re in it. Corny but true.
The competition is called Holiday Profiler. It’s being run by Teletext Holidays and even if you don’t win, you still get matched up with your ideal vacation destination. It could make for some good dreaming and future inspiration.
In order to enter you need to answer six questions via their Facebook quiz, then they’ll use your answers to work out what type of holidaymaker you are and give you location suggestions, or send you off to the destination that suits you best from their list of six if you win.
