Crazy Cairo: A 2 Minute Taste

December 1, 2011 by The Runaway Guide 6 Comments

pomegranate and sugar cane juice in cairo

This past month in Cairo has been wonderful. It is such a crazy and cheap city that it’s hard to get bored here. I love the people (minus the scammers), the hookah bars, the shawrma, the Koshary, cheap roof top hostels, ancient pyramids, and most of all my beloved sugar cane juice. And because of this, it is also an ideal location for both runaways and intense budget backpackers. So in honor of this crazy cool city that is Cairo, below is a short clip to give you a taste of what Cairo has to offer. Enjoy!

Great to have an update on your travels Leif! I’ve yet to visit Egypt myself and will really enjoy all of your posts about travel in this region.

Thanks Sam, you should make your way here one day. Its like India diet. Still really unwestern but half the pollution and half the hassel. Congrats on the million views. Things are well on their way.

Nice Video Edit! Love it! I never thought about going to Egypt before but after watching that video and watch the Amazing Race series go through Africa/middle east – I’m highly considering it.

Btw keep up the videos. It’s a great way to get massive exposure to your blog. I have had a difficult time getting regular websites on page one of google but with videos its easy.
