Nightlife in St. Barts

January 11, 2015 by The Runaway Guide Leave a Comment

st-barts--mahogany-01Are you thinking about planning a trip to the beautiful Caribbean island of St. Barthelemy? What is specifically attracting you to the Caribbean islands? There is something inexplicable about the beauty and grandeur of the Caribbean, but you really have to see it for yourself to believe it.

If you’re thinking of visiting St. Barts this year, you should start planning accordingly. In order to maintain your freedom during your stay, you should consider renting a St. Barts vacation villa. Having your own place to cook and relax will help you save money for the amazing nightlife in St. Barts.

If you like to go out, dance, drink, and otherwise be social, St. Barts provides many opportunities for amazing nightlife. If you’re traveling to St. Barts, be sure to explore these four amazing nightclubs during your stay:

La Bete a Z’ailes

This popular spot along Gustavia’s wharf is more affectionately known as Baz Bar. “La Bete a Z’ailes” is actually a Creole expression most commonly translated to mean “the beast with wings,” which was originally a nickname given to the bar’s owner Jean-marc LeFranc. At Baz Bar, you’ll find live music on a nightly basis, as well as some of the island’s most amazing culinary delights.

Le Select

Le Select has been located in the heart of Gustavia, the soul of St. Barts, since 1949! While they don’t pretend to offer the island’s best cuisine, Le Select is nonetheless represents the heartbeat of the island. Rumor has it that Jimmy Buffet’s “Cheeseburger in Paradise” is actually based on his experience at Le Select! Stop in to see what “The Select” night lounge in St. Barts has to offer!

Monbart

This chic night lounge is named after St. Barts’ mythical pirate, who is rumored to have buried a huge treasure somewhere on the island. The lounge itself is a beautiful space with groovy music in the background, ample lounge seating, tall tables, and incredibly hospitable staff. If you’re looking for a comfortable après-dinner drink spot, be sure to stop into Monbart during your stay.

Le Bartolomeo

This fantastic nightly lounge is located inside the Guanahani Hotel and Spa, which also offers some of the leading restaurants on the island. The hotel has three different venues for food and drinks, and each has it’s own distinctly unique ambience. Enjoy drinks and people watching in the intimate tropical garden surrounding the Le Bartolomeo Lounge.
